UK imposes sanctions against British blogger Graham Phillips

The UK imposed sanctions against its national, independent video blogger Graham Phillips who covers the events in Donbass since 2014, according to the updated sanctions lists of the UK government of July 26.

“Graham PHILLIPS is a video blogger who has produced and published media content that supports and promotes actions and policies which destabilise Ukraine and undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, or independence of Ukraine,” the brief substantiation of the sanctions against Phillips says.

The type of sanctions used against the blogger is the freezing of his assets in the UK.

Graham Phillips is a British video blogger known for his independent position on Donbass. Since the conflict began in 2014, he has regularly visited towns and villages of the DPR and the LPR and talked to civilians who suffered shelling and bombardment by Ukraine. The blogger posts his videos covering the actual events in Novorossiya on his YouTube channel, where he currently has over 318 thousand subscribers. His latest video is about  people living in recently liberated Lisichansk. Phillips speaks fluent Russian, and in 2018 he married a girl from Lugansk.
