Kurginyan compares situation in Ukraine with Nazi Germany

Expecting support from regular Ukrainians for the Russian special operation in Ukraine is a dangerous illusion, said political scientist, philosopher and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 21 on The Great Game program on Channel One Russia.

“Regaining people’s support is an abstraction. It is similar to the expectation that the German proletariat would immediately rise up in revolt as soon as Hitler starts a war against the first communist country, which would ruin the Reich,” Sergey Kurginyan explained. “We know that German proletarians, including those with quite pro-communist sentiments, nevertheless fought for the Reich to the end.”

The analyst explained that the situation in Ukraine today is somewhat similar. “Maybe thirty percent of the population at best will support us if we win. One third will be neutral and one third will be aggressive,” he explained.

Sergey Kurginyan added that the commensurate brainwashing has taken place in Ukraine. It lasted eight years. This is why we must not have any illusions regarding total support among the population.

“I think, furthermore, that we have paid too high of a price already for these illusions at the first stage. And this is enough,” the analyst noted.

Sergey Kurginyan also explained that the situation is really severe, and it requires a serious attitude. The country is in one of the most acute situations that “it has ever been in world history,” he added.
