Lukashenko: Belarus will not allow anyone attack Russia from North and West

12.04.2022, Moscow.

Belarus will not allow Russia to be stabbed in the back from the North or the West, president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared on Sunday after voting on a referendum on amendments into the Constitution.

Lukashenko stressed that the United States, forcing Russia to carry out a special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine, “wants to solve the Belarusian question at the same time”.

“It won’t work. We are not that stupid,” the Belarusian leader said.

“In this operation [special operation of Russia in Ukraine – Rossa Primavera News Agency] our task (and I said that on the second day of the conflict) is to protect the Russians from being hit in the back from the North and West, and we’ll complete it,” Lukashenko stressed.

On 11 April, former Belarusian deputy from Party of Regions Alexander Zhuravko said that the presidents of Russia and Belarus were trying to save Ukraine. He stressed that Zelensky is not able to make any decisions in Ukraine right now, because he has his handlers in the West who intend to drag out this conflict “so that there would be more destruction, more blood”. But afterwards Ukraine will have to be rebuilt, and this will fall on the shoulders of the people who are the closest to the Ukrainians.
