Rossa Primavera News Agency publishes a summary of events in Ukraine as of 5 p.m. on March 3.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, as of 10:00 a.m., 1,612 Ukrainian military targets were hit during the special military operation. Among them: 62 control points and communication nodes, 39 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa air defense missile systems, and 52 radar stations. Thirteen airplanes were destroyed in the air and 49 on the ground.

In Kiev, Mariupol, Kharkov, and Sumy, a humanitarian catastrophe is imminent, and nationalist groups are preventing the evacuation of the population.

More than 142,500 people, including 39,661 children, have been evacuated from the zone of the Russian special operation.

Fifty-two tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to seven settlements in the Kherson and Kharkov regions.

Kiev direction

A high-precision strike knocked out a backup technological television center near Lysaya Gora in Kyiv, which had been used for psychological operations by the SBU.

An evacuation corridor for civilians through the village of Berestyanka was organized for residents of Borodyanka, where Ukrainian neo-Nazi units are stationed along with their equipment in residential neighborhoods northwest of Kiev.

In Chernigov, an oil depot in the west of the city is on fire.

Russian troops are advancing toward Kiev, constructing pontoon crossings in places where nationalists have blown up bridges.

The Russian military ensured the safe exit of 180 people from the UN Mission from Kiev.

Kharkov direction

The Shevchenko plant, which was struck in Kharkiv, was the headquarters of the territorial defense units. At night there was also a strike on the SSU building in the center of the city.

Balakleya was liberated from nationalist battalions.

The Ukrainian army launched a strike on the residential neighborhoods of Izyum.

Ukrainian soldiers on two trucks arrived to set up positions near a residential building at 34 Sapernaya Street in northeastern Kharkov.

South direction

Liberation of the LPR and DPR

A group of troops from the Lugansk People’s Republic, with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces, advanced 4 km and reached the outskirts of Severodonetsk. On the morning of March 3, Epifanovka, Stepnoy Yar, Gavrilovka, Andreevka, Kreminnaya, and Torskoye (DPR) were liberated. The LPR People’s Militia succeeded in advancing 75 km in the direction of Troitskoye. The Yarovaya – Krasny Liman – Privolye road direction was taken under control.

Units of the DPR armed forces carried out a successful offensive, advanced 8 kilometers and took under control the settlements of Novokrasnovka and Krasnovka.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued their offensive, acting on the adjacent flank of the DPR units and took control of Blagoveshchenka, Sinyaya Gora, Petrovskoye, Shevchenkivskoye, Sladkaya Balka, Ilchenkovo, Ocherevataya, and Novoprokopovka villages.

DPR People’s Militia plans to encircle the Ukrainian military near Donetsk and Gorlovka – Basurin.

About 400,000 residents are blocked in Mariupol. Russia is ready to receive and accommodate Mariupol residents who are guaranteed safety.

In Mariupol, the construction hypermarket “Epicenter K” on the western outskirts of the city is on fire.

Situation in the republics

16:07 – In Yasinovataya, a woman who lived at 79 Sadovaya Street was killed due to shelling by Ukrainian troops.

Donetsk

Ukrainian armed units fired 113 pieces of ammunition on the territory of the DPR over the past day. The villages of Oleksandrovka, Trudovskaya and Verkhnetoretskoye (Donetsk direction), the villages of Holmovskyi, Ozeryanovka, mines 6/7, Panteleimonovka (Gorlovka direction) and Dokuchayevsk (Mariupol direction) came under fire of the Ukrainian army. The enemy used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, the weaponry of BMPs and APCs, grenade launchers and small arms.

Two civilians were injured as a result of the shelling. The Zuyevskaya thermal power plant and the gas pipeline in Gorlovka were also damaged.

In the previous 24 hours, the Ukrainian army fired 434 rounds of ammunition. Four civilians were killed and another 30 were wounded as a result of the shelling. Also, 125 households, 33 infrastructure facilities and 25 vehicles were damaged.

As a result of this morning’s shelling by Ukrainian militants on the Kiev district of Donetsk, a direct hit was reported in the residential area on Vzletnaya Street 44, 46. Glazing in the houses was damaged.

3:56 p.m. – As a result of the shelling of the Kiev district a woman was wounded on Listvennaya street 9.

In Kirovsky district, a direct hit to a house on Schumann Street 18 was reported.

Gorlovka

The following damage was recorded as a result of the shelling of the territory of the city by the Ukrainian army:

  • Komarova village. Shell hits to the roof on Kosmonavt Komarova Streer 6 were reported.
  • The village of Shacht Lenin. The shells hit the house on Tsvetochny side street 6.
  • The enemy forces hit a house on Tsvetochny side street 4. A man living in the house was not injured.
  • Neighborhood 88, Korolenko Streer 17. A house was hit and burst into flames.

According to clarified information from the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination, four civilians, including two children, were wounded as a result of the shelling of Gorlovka on Korolenko Street 19 by the Ukrainian army:

  • 66-years-old woman
  • 66-years-old woman and 50-years-old man
  • 10-years-old girl
  • 17-years-old girl

All of the victims received timely medical care and their condition is satisfactory.

Lugansk

From the direction of Novotoshkovskoye to the area of Berezovskoye: a shelling using 120 mm mortar (12 mines) was reported by the Ukrainian armed units at 12.20.

Political situation

Lavrov is confident that a solution to the crisis around Ukraine will be found, Russia’s conditions are minimal.
