Kurginyan: Will rigid governance structure in Russia defend the rich?

21.12.2021, Moscow.

The rigid governance structure, which the Russian officials express a demand for, existed not only in the USSR, writes political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in his article “Vaccinations and Stalin’s System? What a Nuthouse…” on December 11 in the Essence of Time newspaper.

“Did such a rigid governance structure, for which the post-Soviet officials regret now, exist only in the Soviet Union? Did it not exist, for example, in the Nazi Germany or in the fascist Italy? As well as in certain countries of Latin America, in Taiwan of Chiang Kai-shek etc.?” he indicated.

According to the leader of Essence of Time, a rigid and even super-rigid governance structure can well be combined with the bourgeois property and bourgeois means of enrichment so much desired by the modern Russian elite.

“Why then do they express this insincere regret for the Soviet chain of command (isolated from everything else, I must stress this again)? Why not express regret for der Führer, il Duce etc.? This kind of regret is well-known. Italians used to put it as ‘finally il Duce has come, now order has been restored in Italy, and trains run according to the schedule,’” Kurginyan wrote.

On December 3, a RIA Novosti source reported that the United Russia party faction in the State Duma, the Russian parliament, had sent out a party mailing, which contained guidelines for discussing the vaccination against COVID with the opponents. In this mailing, it said that if we have lived during Stalin’s time, they would treat anti-vaxxers as co-conspirators of the “the bigots plot” and shot them dead in every region of the country in accordance with the central plan. If we have lived during Khrushchev, “they would have been exiled as the agents of imperialism.” Under Brezhnev, “they would have been locked up in psychiatric institutions and in accordance with a decree of the Central Committee of Soviet Union’s Communist Party, the Internet would have been cut off as a source of ‘enemy propaganda’.”
