The West’s neocolonial ideology aims to bring the territory and resources of the Balkans under its control, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on June 28 in an interview with the Serbian newspaper Kurir.
During the interview, Zakharova commented on the desire of Western countries to limit the influence of Russia and China in the Balkans.
“This approach is not only a reflection of the neocolonial ideology of the West, which seeks to bring the territories of Balkan countries and their resources under its control. Examples [of this] are not far to seek – one can take a closer look at what is happening in neighboring countries,” an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Rossa Primavera News Agency earlier informed of Zakharova’s statement about the West’s desire to extend its rules to the entire world, which turn out to be “true liberal totalitarianism.”
