President of Transnistria: Soviet people forged the Great Victory

07.05.2021, Tiraspol.

It was the Soviet people who bore the burden of World War II, President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) Vadim Krasnoselsky said on May 7 on the air of the First Transnistrian TV Channel.

The PMR president stressed that the Soviet state bore the burden of World War II. Modern historians are trying to rewrite the outcome of the Great Patriotic War, equating Germany and the Soviet Union, Stalin and Hitler, and downplaying the role of the Soviet people.

“Some states don’t remember the role of the Soviet Union at all. They remember about the United States, about Britain, about France. In fact, the main burden, the main, let us say, tragedy was borne by the Soviet state, by the Soviet people,” Krasnoselsky stressed.

According to the president of PMR, one of the proofs of the main role of the Soviet Union in the fight against fascism is the fact of at least 25 successful operations of the Soviet army during World War II. The Allies had no more than two such operations to their credit.
