The US-Russian relations can improve only if Russia is weakening, said political analyst, the candidate of political sciences, the corresponding member of the Academy of Military Sciences Sergei Sudakov on May 5 on the air of the Vesti FM radio broadcast.
“The current state of relations between Russia and the USA is not at its best. Once upon a time, it was better. But these relations get better only when we are too weak,” said the political scientist.
The USA treats better only those who are willing to accept their values with wide-open arms, and, most importantly, allow the USA to use their capital, stressed the expert.
Currently, the USA has lost its global leadership and has become the global hegemon, added the analyst.
“The difference between a leader and a hegemon is that the leader is prepared to feed his flock, and ready to lead all those who will follow him on a difficult path. The hegemon, on the contrary, takes the lion’s share of the profits, while all the failures remain exclusively with his flock,” concluded Sudakov.
On May 6, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the USA and its allies will make Russia pay for the war in Donbass. He alleged that at the moment Moscow chose conflict over peace.
