The Ukrainian punitive forces shelled the village of Leninskoye in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire reported to journalists on January 8.
“A shelling by the Ukrainian armed groups along the Vodyanoye ― Leninskoye direction was reported. Three 82-mm mortar shells and five 120-mm mortar shells were fired,” the DPR representative reported.
The village of Vodyanoye is under Ukrainian control, and Leninskoye is under DPR control.
Last time the Ukrainian military shelled the village of Leninskoye on December 29, 2020 firing 12 120-mm incendiary mortar shells.
