Ukrainian military units are subjecting the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic to mass shelling, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reports at its web site on February 14.
The shelling started at 8:30 AM local time, and it still continues. Currently, over eighty 120 mm and 82 mm mortar shells have been fired at the Donetsk direction, thirteen 120 mm mortar shells at the Mariupol direction, and four 120 mm mortar shells at the Gorlovka direction.
The shelling targets the villages of Leninskoye, Kominternovo, Yasinovataya, Staromikhaylovka, Spartak, Zhabichevo, Dolomitnoye, and well as the Donetsk airport and its adjacent territories.
The JCCC urged the Ukrainian side to cease fire.
The Ukrainian army regularly shells DPR and LPR territory in violation of the Minsk agreements. According to official reports alone, over 10,000 people have been killed and 23,000 wounded over the period of the Donbass conflict.
