Military expert: They support Ukraine with fakes “America has not forgotten you”

16.02.2019, Moscow.

The statement made by Captain Gary Tabach about Ukraine’s possible accession to NATO is a fake story about “America has not forgotten you,” said Experimental Creative Center (ETC) International Public Foundation expert Yuri Bardakhchiev on February 14 in an interview to a correspondent of the Rossa Primavera News Agency.

The expert noted that such promises were given simultaneously to post-Soviet countries.

“The statement made by Captain Gary Tabach was made almost simultaneously with a similar statement by the former commander of the US Army in Europe Ben Hodges; the difference is that General mentioned Georgia, not Ukraine, to me admitted to NATO under special conditions,” Yuri Bardakhchiev stressed.

According to the expert, these massive information-psychological dumps should not be currently taken seriously for now.

“Such synchronous dumps made by two retired officers can principally mean nothing, maybe except for the fact that the two countries are being sent ‘friendly messages’ that they should not lose hope, for America has not forgotten them,” the ETC member said.

According to the expert, this will become serious in the event if “these provocative statements are supported by officials from NATO, the US Department of State, or Congress.”

According to the NATO treaty, countries with a regional conflict cannot be admitted to the organization. However, despite the ongoing civil war in Ukraine, former NATO official representative to Russia Gary Tabach said that it was possible to make an exception for Ukraine.

Gary Tabach was born in the USSR, in a family of successful Moscow doctors, dentist Zinovy Ilyich and hematologist Rimma Yakovlevna. The Tabach family emigrated to the USA in 1976.
