10.01.2019, Kiev.

The Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Patriarchate of Moscow Archpriest Nikolay Balashov has been included in the Mirotvorets database of Ukraine’s enemies, a correspondent of the Rossa Primavera News Agency reported on January 9.

The site introduces Archpriest Balashov as “an opponent to the independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Russian Orthodox Church controlled by Russia (an aggressor country)” and “an anti-Ukrainian propagandist.”

Previously, Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Patriarchate of Moscow Onufry, Vicar of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Pavel, Patriarch of Serbia Iriney, Rector of the Moscow Spiritual Academy Archbishop of Verey Amvrosy etc. were included in the database.

The Mirotvorets web site was opened soon after the coup d’etat in Ukraine in February 2014. This site publishes personal data of people suspected of disloyalty to the Kiev regime. A number of people included in the database, such as writer Oles Buzina and politician Oleg Kalashnikov, were killed.
