Lugansk People’s Republic: Ukrainian army interferes with OSCE mission’s work

23.05.2018, Lugansk.

The Ukrainian military is firing near the members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), endangering their health and life, the Spokesman of the Lugansk People’s Republic People’s Militia Andrey Marochko said on May 22, REGNUM reports.

According to Marochko, these actions aim to hide prohibited weapons and other violations of the Minsk agreements by Kiev from the observers.

On May 21, Ukrainian army servicemen opened fire using small arms 100 meters away from the OSCE mission members in Kryakovka under Kiev’s control. The observers had to leave the dangerous area and return to their base in Severodonetsk.

The Ukrainian army continues to violate the ceasefire regime, committing subversive actions against the residents of the Donbass republics. In particular, at 2 AM on May 21 a bridge was blown up on the road connecting Krasny Luch and Lugansk. As a result, a car fell form the bridge; the civilians in the car were seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital for intensive care.
