The situation at the contact line remains tense, the Ukrainian army is provoking combat on all main directions, a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (the DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on July 3.
On the Gorlovka segment of the front line, the Ukrainian military shelled the western outskirts of the city with mortars. Trench combat continues in the Donetsk outskirts, specifically, in the area of the former Donetsk airport, in the area of the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint, and in the area near Spartak and Trudovskiye. On the Mariupol direction, the situation is tense in the Kominternovo-Sakhanka area.
The Ukrainian side continues to ignore the “Harvest Truce” [a truce concluded for the period of gathering the harvest – Editor], but, on the whole, the situation on the contact line is calm. There is no information on the victims among the civilian population and destructions.
DPR PM intelligence uncovered the location of one Ukrainian army’s battery of the Akatsiya self-propelled vehicles near Kalinovoye. The enemy regularly redeploys 122mm and 152mm artillery systems and artillery ammunition in the area of Krasny Pakhar on the Gorlovka direction. On July 2, the Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 26 times. The enemy opened fire on 15 towns and villages of the Republic with artillery, mortars, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, grenade launchers, and small arms.
