Repair of buildings damaged by recent shelling of Makeevka almost finished

Repair of buildings in Makeevka damaged by Ukrainian shelling on October 27 is 90% finished, the acting mayor of the city Valery Lyakhovets told Donetsk News Agency today.

Gas and electricity supply has been restored, the staircases and roofs have been repaired. He noted that currently the only thing that remains is to replace the damaged windows. The work will be finished in the course of three weeks.

The windows have been replaced in kindergarten № 26 during the weekend, and since Monday the kindergarten is operating once again.

On October 27 Kiev’s military opened fire on residential districts of Makeevka. The enemy used weaponry banned by the Minsk Agreements – mortars and heavy artillery. Two civilians were killed, ten were injured. Five houses and apartment buildings, and a kindergarten, were damaged.
