Kurginyan: Helmut Kohl and Nazis persuaded Gorbachev to reunite Germany

12.04.2024, Aleksandrovskoye.

Mikhail Gorbachev agreed to reunite Germany after a visit of Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Helmut Kohl and members of the ODESSA Nazi organization, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and analyst Sergey Kurginyan said on April 5 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

The political scientist noted that he enjoyed a friendly relationship with security officials of the German Democratic Republic, and sometimes they shared information with him.

The analyst noted that East Germany had a very good intelligence service, perhaps the best one among the Warsaw Pact countries. According to this intelligence service, the UK never wanted Germany to reunite.

They [East German security officials] demonstrated irrefutable evidence that [UK Prime Minister Margaret] Thatcher begged Gorbachev – she begged him! – not to initiate the reunification of East and West Germany,” Kurginyan said.

She “believed that, as he owed a great deal to her, he would definitely agree. But he stiffed her as no one, in her opinion, ever stiffed he before,” the political scientist noted.

Also, the East German intelligence officials demonstrated evidence that, along with Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Helmut Kohl, members of the ODESSA organization arrived to Stavropol Region to talk with Gorbachev on the reunification of Germany, the political scientist explained.

ODESSA is “an organization that was responsible for the evacuation of SS members after the war and for the preservation of their potential,” the political scientist explained. He noted that after that meeting Gorbachev offered full support to Kohl, and he initiated this accelerated reunification of West and East Germany, for which the government of West Germany honored him as “the best German of the year” in 1989.
