The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Donetsk People’s Republic published a search warrant for the US war correspondent Russell Bentley, known under the call sign Texas, on April 12 on its Telegram channel.
“The police department No 8 for servicing the territory of Petrovsky district of Donetsk is looking for Bentley Russell Bonner, born in 1960, who left on April 8, 2024, in an unknown direction and has not been seen since,” the statement reads.
The missing man looked 60-65 years old, height 180-185 cm, dense build, gray eyes, short gray hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, moss-colored camouflage pants, carrying a green bag. On the man’s shoulder there is a tattoo in the form of an arrow.
A US citizen Russell Bentley came to Donbass in 2014 to defend the Republic. He joined the Donetsk People’s Militia, took part in key battles during the conflict. Bentley also covered the events taking place on the front.
