Kurginyan discusses the hidden motives behind US attack on Iran

The US attack on Iran was motivated not only by the desire for total control of natural resources, but also by a religious desire for a deeper transformation of the world order, political scientist, philosopher, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 21 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.

The political scientist recalled US President Donald Trump’s statements, in which he constantly repeated  that the United States must have a total control over distribution of natural resources. “Venezuela, then Iran, and we will take control of everything, and then we will truly have power over the world,” Kurginyan cited as one of the motivations behind US aggression.

He emphasized that Russia also needs to take into account this US strategy. “If energy sources around the world are increasingly suppressed, then what are the pros and cons for Russia? The upside is obvious, it’s widely discussed: the oil price is rising, and Russia’s role as an energy supplier is growing. But the downside is that sooner or later, this free ride must end if the United States truly want to completely control the world’s energy resources. That’s why they’re bombing Iran and everything else,” the leader of Essence of Time movement explained.

Sergey Kurginyan noted that, in addition to purely pragmatic motives, the attack on Iran also has a significant religious component. “We see how a certain group among religious Israelis (in my view, highly dubious even regarding its own religiosity) is declaring that they will dismantle Al-Aqsa Mosque brick by brick and build a certain temple, or that the defeat of Iran will usher in the coming of the Messiah,” the philosopher noted, adding that arguments about the insignificance of these groups are not fully substantiated.

“It all came together, starting with Trump’s ambition and his desire to show off his toughness, and how he quickly resolves everything starting with his gangster-style attacks, and ending with the restructuring and transformation of the world. It’s also possible that this restructuring is planned to be much more profound. Perhaps we are witnessing the beginning of the end of the entire world order as we know it, and the opening of a completely different outcome. Current events could be showing this as well,” concluded Sergey Kurginyan.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque is located in Jerusalem and is a sacred site for Muslims. It’s name translates as “the furthest mosque”.
