The aims of the second stage of the special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine are the complete liberation of Donbass, the establishment of the control over southern Ukraine, and a land corridor to Crimea. Deputy commander of the Central Military District (CMD) Rustam Minnekaev said this on April 22 at the annual meeting of the Union of Defense Industries of the Sverdlovsk region.

“Since the beginning of the second stage of the special operation, it has now begun, literally two days ago, one of the tasks of the Russian army is to establish full control over Donbass and Southern Ukraine,” Rustam Minnekayev said.

According to Rustam Minnekayev, the liberation of Donbass will make it possible to establish a land corridor to Crimea. In addition, by controlling the south of Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces will have access to Transnistria, the deputy commander of the Central Military District noted.
