The missile cruiser Moskva, which had previously caught fire causing the detonation of ammunition, sank during a storm. Russian Defense Ministry reported this on April 14.
According to the ministry, due to the damage the ship lost its ability to withstand bad weather. During the towing of the cruiser to the port of destination, “in the conditions of stormy sea waves the ship sank,” the statement reads.
Earlier it became known that the fire on the cruiser Moskva led to the detonation of ammunition and the ship received serious damage.
Before that, representatives of the Kiev regime announced an attack on the Russian ship.
According to some experts, the weapons in Kiev’s arsenal posed no serious threat to the ship and were easily suppressed by its protection systems.
