After the victory against fascism the Western liberalism started destroying heroism thus transforming itself into fascism, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on September 21 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
The political scientist noted that the EU authorities only pretend they are liberals. Actually, their poor mask of liberalism hides fascism.
Kurginyan reminded that philosopher Francis Fukuyama recently explained what he meant when he spoke about the end of history in early 1990s.
“It was not me who said ‘the end of history,’ it was Hegel,” the political scientist quoted him.
“You tell us, bastard! What did Hegel say? Please tell us if you are so Hegelian what Hegel said! Hegel said that history, spirit, explores itself. When it discovers itself in history it will transform everything into a library and stop any development to further learn everything in a library. And then it will leave, disappear. There will be no being. Being needs spirit to understand itself. And humanity is not needed at all,” Kurginyan extended this statement.
He noted that it is wrong to call the founder of communism Karl Marx Neo-Hegelian. In fact, “Marx was the only real opponent to Hegel who said that history would continue.” “‘From the kingdom of necessity to the kingdom of freedom,’ the Marxists said,” the philosopher explained.
“So this is a really mean and major trick with Hegel and the end of history. But the key thing it hides inside is will to death,” Kurginyan stressed.
“What did these bastards do? When we finally defeated fascism and when they saw people revolting against them in various countries in various ways, what did they declare? A de-nazification? A de-heroification, this is what they declared! Elimination of Hero,” the political scientist characterized the West’s post-war strategy in culture.
Such a cultural phenomenon as Neo-Realism seeks de-heroification, and so does the art of many writers of the 20th century.
“Hercules wants to clean the Augean stables, but he is told, ‘No, don’t do that! Let there be more manure! – Why? – It will turn into humus, and we will make a garden there,’” Kurginyan quoted a play “Hercules and the Augean Stables” by Swiss play writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt.
“Heroes are not needed, they are ridiculous. Kafka said that first Prometheus creamed, then he got tired, then the rock got tired, then the eagle got tired, and then everyone got tired, and they laughed,” Kurginyan reminded about Franz Kafka’s story “Prometheus.”
“And if Christians think that de-heroification can take place without de-Christianization, then they are strange people. I want to say this to everyone who can hear me,” the philosopher stressed.
