A Flightradar-like service for tracking Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) could be created in Russia, Lenta ru reported on September 11, citing Aleksey Chadayev, CEO of the Ushkuynik Scientific and Production Center.
According to the expert, the process should begin with the establishment in Russia of a unified operator of the sensor field, since at present the detection of drones is not sufficiently centralized.
He believes that a pilot project for such a service could be implemented on the basis of Rostelecom and the country’s largest mobile operators, which have the necessary infrastructure.
Earlier, Chadayev suggested that the modernized Knyaz Vandal Novgorodsky FPV drone, controlled via fiber optics, would allow Russian servicemen to operate effectively from ambushes in the special military operation zone.
In addition, in September the expert reported the creation in Russia of a fixed-wing anti-drone aircraft called Krechet, capable of reaching speeds of up to 450 km/h.
