The Ukrainian army is actually a business enterprise, and it wants to be involved in politics, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on July 24 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.
According to the analyst, the Ukrainian army is absolutely different than the Russian one. “We do not make total mobilizations, we do not do what they do, we are strained but not to our limit as they are. It is arguable whether it is good, but it is a fact,” Sergey Kurginyan said.
According to him, the Ukrainian army is strained up to its limit, all attention is focused on the army, and the army feels that it is the hero of the process.
“Its leaders, i.e. Zaluzhny, Fyodorov, Budanov etc., are people who, firstly, have obvious political ambitions fueled by public sentiments and by the West. And secondly, it is a huge business enterprise. A huge one! Flows of foreign aid, to whom they will go and to whom they will not, is a great problem. There are really many consumers,” the analyst said.
Sergey Kurginyan noted that this business enterprise and corporation, which wants to be involved in politics, seeks to establish a state of black colonels and to remove the democratic facade completely.
“The USA agreed to remove it in South Vietnam… One way or another. And this is where it goes,” the political scientist added.
According to Sergey Kurginyan, former Ukrainian minister of defense Mikhail Fyodorov, who has been dismissed, had many competitors.
“According to my sources in Ukraine, he seriously disappointed Ermak, the former almighty head of Zelensky’s office. And up to now Ermak is actually the real supervisor of Zelensky. He never left, and there is a special communication channel between him and Zelensky, and it all continues. It is absolutely clear that Kolomoysky wants to use this situation for revenge. And not only him,” the political scientist said.
He noted that some interested parties in Ukraine would like such a conflict to happen, and they are quite strong and have their roots in the West.
“Mikhail Fyodorov is a civilian IT man, a very talented person. Indeed, after his retirement he received a job offer from Karp (the head of Palantir – Rossa Primavera News Agency) in his corporation, but Fyodorov said he would not leave, that he would stay in Ukraine. He feels that the wind blows into his sails. He strongly criticized the General Staff and the commander-in-chief, and he said that all these hard-line measures with the recruitment offices were not necessary, that the army needed motivated people, and that order must be finally established,” Sergey Kurginyan said.
The political scientist stressed that it is easy to say “establish order in Ukraine,” but no one has ever managed to do that starting from the Zaporozhian Sich.
“Thus, this is just a statement addressed to young people who do not want to join the army etc. And any statement that law must be observed just means that the recruitment rate is low,” the analyst added.
