Kurginyan: The war in Iran invalidates the previous military-strategic doctrine

04.05.2026, Moscow.

The war in Iran has invalidated the entire military-strategic doctrine of previous centuries, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 25 stated on the The Right to Know program on the TVC television channel.

According to the analyst, the blatant, unmotivated military aggression of the United States against Iran has shown that an entirely new situation has emerged.

“When Trump says, we destroyed their fleet, we destroyed their army, that, to put it mildly, has extremely little to do with the matter. All military experts, all states are discussing to what extent Iran has preserved its combat potential. What potential is preserved in missiles, what potential is preserved in other things, but the main thing is not that,” said Kurginyan.

In his opinion, the main thing is that the 21st century has shown the possibility of a modest ship with a hypersonic missile striking an aircraft carrier in such a way that the aircraft carrier will suffer badly.

“New military means have emerged. All these drones, the mosquito fleet, small military means that inflict great damage, they have invalidated the entire military-strategic doctrine of previous centuries. This is the most important result, the first, strictly speaking, military-technical one,” the analyst said .

He noted that in this situation, Trump and the United States find themselves in the position of a losing dinosaur, which some small creatures are trying to fight by biting its leg, and it is already beginning to limp and cannot fight. According to Kurginyan, the military-technical novelty of everything the war with Iran has shown is enormous, and it was Iran that showed it.

“You can think whatever you want, talk about mules, about the smallness of Iran’s power. Well, there is something to that. And I do acknowledge that the United States is a more powerful power. But the dinosaur is more powerful than anything else. But what is the dinosaur doing? And this is an address not only to the US dinosaur, but to the dinosaurization of previous centuries in general. Our aircraft carriers, our battleships, our super-planes, our space forces. No one argues, all of this is very important. But it’s just like: ‘Bang!’ And the huge things are destroyed,” said the political scientist.
