Kurginyan explains the essence of the game unfolding around Strait of Hormuz closure

A major power struggle is unfolding around the war in the Persian Gulf and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz: there are forces interested in destroying global infrastructure, and there are forces that do not want this, philosopher, political scientist, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on April 17 on the Conversation with a Sage program on  the Zvezda radio channel.

“By the way, does anyone think that Iran has stopped supplying oil? Anyone who thinks that is out of their mind,” the political scientist said. He noted that Iran has actually increased both the volume and value of its oil and petroleum product exports, meaning Tehran is earning more money. “Iran has not shut down its ‘gray’ export machine at all,” Kurginyan emphasized.

The political scientist pointed out that closing the Strait of Hormuz disrupts global infrastructure. “And since global infrastructure is being disrupted, there are those who want this collapse – and it would be a deep one, and there are those who do not,” Kurginyan noted.

The analyst stressed that many different “games” are being played around the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. London insurance companies, along with other actors, are competing to for the chance to become a “channel for managing” the “black” funds that Iran receives for transit through the strait. Everyone is bargaining.

“When a country withstands pressure, many are eager to ally with it,” Kurginyan said. “It turns out that London and other actors are ready to align themselves with this behavior. And these are already global forces,” the analyst noted.

At the same time, there are also forces “that do not want the established order of transport, communications, raw materials, and so on to be disrupted,” Kurginyan added.

Meanwhile, those who do want to destroy this order aim to do so using Trump.

“But what do those who want [the destruction of global infrastructure] do? They want Trump to destroy everything and then have him removed, after which others will come and build something new on the ruins. The ‘masters’ [of the world/Trump] belong to this group,” Kurginyan explained.

At the same time, Trump himself likely understands the purpose behind the encouragement he receives from these “masters.” He is not under any illusions about them and realizes that they are pushing him forward to make him a scapegoat. And if Trump suspects they are going to get rid of him, he may act unpredictably, Kurginyan noted.

“Then some kind of absurdity begins, which is impossible to assess even in conditions of total fake information and endless chatter and idle talks,” the political scientist emphasized.

He added that it remains unclear whether Trump accepted Iranian conditions, including consent to uranium enrichment, or not.
