Kurginyan: Trump listens to an influential Jewish group

US President Donald Trump listens to an influential group that pays and has leverage over him, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on March 6 on the Conversation with a Sage program on Radio Zvezda.

Kurginyan hypothesized that the Trump team, firstly, deliberately radicalizes the situation in the Middle East to make it most deteriorated, and secondly, it works for the coming Congress elections. The political scientist reminded that in 1980s there was a movement “Jews for Nixon,” and now there is a kind of “Jews for Trump.”

“He wants their money. He fears that he can lose that money,” the philosopher stressed.

Kurginyan also pointed out the strange behavior of the Arab states. In public, Saudi Arabia campaigned for peace, but, according to media, the Saudis said, “Go on, attack them before it is too late!” the political scientist indicated.

“He listens to someone who, firstly, simply pays him, and secondly, who has certain leverage,” the analyst stressed speaking about Trump.

The philosopher noted that it is unclear what this group’s goal in Iran is. “Do they want to disintegrate it? This would dramatically strengthen Turkey, which, they are already saying, is more dangerous,” the analyst suggested a possible scenario.

“What do they want? Everyone hates them. In this billion-strong sea of hatred, what is this tiny Jewish state going to do?” Kurginyan asked.

“Okay, is it going to hold out like the Alamut castle or rather like the crusaders? Then they must prepare their population as they did in 1960s or 1970s,” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan noted that walking along the streets of the Israeli cities today one can see that it is a typically consumerist society unprepared for this kind of survival.

Alamut is a mountain fortress in Iran, the center of the legendary Assassins. It could withstand siege for years, and it was believed to be an unassailable fortress.
