Israel should seek rapprochement with Iran because Iran is the last stronghold of the real statehood in the Middle East, political scientist, philosopher, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on February 7 on the Right to Know program on the TVC channel.
Iran is “the last stronghold of the real statehood in the region”, the political scientist noted. He explained that it is a country with its own specific culture, including political culture, and a desire to combine traditionalism with modernity. According to Kurginyan, Iran is committed to development under any government, and this does not suit the United States.
“This state [Iran – Rossa Primavera News Agency] is the main danger for the United States. Because it is committed to development. Because it is the last state of a specific modernity in the region. This is dangerous for the US, but for Israel it is absolutely safe,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement emphasized.
Asserting that the US feels threatened by Iran’s existence, Kurginyan recounted what his acquaintances, highly knowledgeable on the matter, had said about it.
“And one of these acquaintances mentioned to me that once he was at a table with Brzezinski. Brzezinski points to him at a map of the Middle East and says directing his finger at Israel, ‘Look how easy it would be to control the region if this damn country didn’t exist.’ Brzezinski! Not Bin Laden said this!” the political scientist recounted the gist of the conversation.
Taking this into consideration, Sergey Kurginyan posed a question: is Israel just a tugboat on the US rope or does it actually possess some sovereignty, despite its orientation toward the United States,? If it does, then, as the political scientist noted, it should understand the true state of affairs.
“I really don’t like these talks that ‘Englishwoman makes mischief,’ but what is the main, so to speak, benefit for the UK in the region? It is the mutual destruction of Israel and Iran. That’s it! Then, one can start everything anew there!” he said.
If the Israeli authorities truly understand anything and feel responsible for their country, they should move toward rapprochement with Iran, the political scientist added. And if they succeed in taking steps along this path, the situation in the Middle East will change. However, no rapprochement is currently taking place.
“So, it seems like people are being led to this suicide, and they’re going along with it. As if there’s an invisible hand leading them this way – to eliminate each other. And they’re going along with it! And this is the main constant in the Middle East, now the Greater Middle East…,” Kurginyan emphasized.
According to him, even assuming Israel were to strike Iran and cause it some serious harm, existing issues would remain unresolved. In particular, a problem in the face of Turkey, which already claims that Israel was part of it in the past, will come to the surface, and therefore, “why shouldn’t this Israel find itself in this role again?”
