Fertilizer imports from Russia to the EU hit a four-year top

The volume of mineral fertilizer imports from Russia to the European Union hit its highest level since 2021, citing Eurostat data RIA Novosti reported on January 18.

According to the EU statistical agency, between January and November 2025, European Union countries purchased €1.523 billion worth of Russian fertilizers, exceeding the figures for the same period in 2024 (€1.516 billion) and reaching the highest level in four years. A significant increase in imports was recorded in November — almost double that of October, reaching €118.5 million.

Poland was the largest buyer of Russian fertilizers during this period (€555.1 million), followed by Germany (€160.8 million), Romania (€117.9 million), Spain (€112.4 million), and France (€104.3 million).
