US conservatives intend to abandon attempts aimed at developing “hopeless“ Man in favor of a breakthrough through artificial intelligence (AI), political scientist, philosopher, and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on October 3 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
According to the political scientist, US conservatives, represented by Peter Thiel, one of Trump’s key supporters, are currently declaring the end of the existing world order based on humanism and are turning their mind toward the Dark Enlightenment.
“Certain constants that existed over the previous millennia assumed that Man, if we are talking about the biblical or evangelical interpretation, was proclaimed the crown of Creation. If we are talking about the Gospel, then the Son of God endured the Cross in the name of Man. How elevated Man is, if in his name the Son of God suffers the crucifixion torture!” Kurginyan explained.
From the perspective of US Conservatives, humanity has “exhausted the possibilities of evolution as a species,” its development has stopped, and they intend to “give up” the humanity, the philosopher clarified.
“Thiel says: ‘Well, Man cannot break through! He can’t demonstrate any kind of reserve capabilities, any great discoveries. That’s it, Man’s finished! But we need a break through; if we can’t do it, the Antichrist will prevail. And how can a breakthrough be achieved? Only through artificial intelligence’,” the philosopher explained.
True artificial intelligence has not yet been created, and existing systems of this kind rely only on elementary probabilistic models running on computers with colossal speed, Kurginyan emphasized.
The philosopher pointed out that Thiel is speaking of the need for a spiritual breakthrough, an expansion into the depths of matter through artificial intelligence. “Without artificial intelligence, it’s the end — the Antichrist will come. Let’s try [with artificial intellect], and give up Man. Man has exhausted its full potential, Man is finished,” the expert explained the logic of US Conservatives.
“The question is: does Russia agree with this model? In other words, do we understand that the Dark Enlightenment humanism advocated by US Conservatives, or Thiel himself, or anyone else, has not much in common with our notions of any kind of humanism, or a minimum minimorum of it?” the leader of the Essence of Time movement asked.
