Kurginyan: Trump will not abandon the idea of destroying Iran

US President Donald Trump’s desire to support Israel and destroy Iran are one of the constants in his policy, political scientist, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on October 3 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.

Kurginyan noted that Trump’s first constant is the determination to harm China, the United States’ main rival, at any cost.

“The second constant of Trump’s policy is the idea of a Greater Israel and the destruction or crushing of Iran,” the political scientist continued. He added that these constants prevent any strategic agreement between the United States and Russia.

Kurginyan referred to a statement Trump made after the US strikes on Iran in June, when the politician declared that Tehran should make peace, following the attack on its territory.

The philosopher emphasized that “there is no difference between being compelled to peace and capitulation.” The only difference lies in how this compulsion to peace is carried out.

“And now it has been said: we will impose peace through strength,” Kurginyan pointed out. He noted that US actions against Iran differ from war only in that war has not been officially declared.

“I don’t want you to be killed. I just really like the idea that your head will separated from your body and your body will be hung upside down, I’m merely coercing you into a certain configuration, into a mise-en-scène. That’s all. You disagree? Well, I’ll use force to compel you into this mise-en-scène, which, from my point of view, is more convincing,” Kurginyan explained the essence of the “peace through strength” concept.

He stressed that illusions about Trump as a “peacemaker” are even more dangerous than the earlier illusions regarding Vladimir Zelensky after his election as President of Ukraine.

After Zelensky’s election, I was one of the few analysts who said from the beginning that this bloody clown would be more dangerous than Poroshenko [listed as terrorist and extremist in Russia],” the political scientist reminded.
