US President Donald Trump and his team represent a dual core of the electoral process, which became the basis for his unexpected return to power, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on July 11 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
“Combined, these two forces became a multifaceted, dual core of the electoral process that made the miracle for Trump’s second coming to power possible,” Kurginyan explained.
However, according to the analyst, this process faces certain problems, and Trump himself is being in a state of psychological instability.
“Trump was absolutely stunned by this miracle. He is constantly in a psychologically unstable state. This is obvious to everyone. And he keeps doing the same thing he did before,” Sergey Kurginyan emphasized.
The political scientist emphasized that Trump continues to focus on self-promotion, positioning himself as a “brilliant dealmaker“, but this does not live up to his own claims.
“But the important thing is that he is not a dealmaker. Not at all!” Sergey Kurginyan is convinced.
The analyst explained that Trump “praises himself as a great rider who always wins steeplechase races, while he keeps falling off the horse. Did anything happen after the deals were made? Nothing. What happened? Trump’s bragging.”
The political scientist also criticized Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill“, which, according to the expert, represents “a gigantic amount of paper about everything and nothing at all”, which demonstrated the hollow nature of Trump’s political initiatives.
“Trump has a problem. He has to be concerned about congressional elections, and electoral processes in general. And he is thinking about what will happen next and how he can retain his grip on power before the elections are over,” noted Sergey Kurginyan, pointing to the growing pressure from opponents.
He pointed to another important figure in this political game – US Vice President JD Vance.
According to Kurginyan, Vance is facing a completely different problem: it is not a question of whether Trump will be able to stay in power, but whether Vance himself will be able to serve as the president after Trump, or whether Trump will finally lose his mind and fall out with his vice president before the elections. According to the political scientist, this uncertainty creates additional tension within Trump’s team and calls into question their ability to govern effectively.
Kurginyan emphasized that Trump’s actions do not bring real results, “So they focus only on that. They cannot accomplish anything substantial. They can only slow down the abominations committed by the US Democrats a little: expel someone, normalize something, cancel out some completely outrageous initiatives. But this is not the way to make America great again, and he [Trump – Rossa Primavera News Agency] understands this.”
This leads to a “banalization” of the image of the US president, since he is not ready to take risks and develop new ideas.
“Make your products desirable for the entire world, instead of imposing tariffs on them. You won’t accomplish anything this way. And what are you actually going to develop? In the interests of which productive forces will you work? Steel industry? Which one? Or perhaps some new industry? Take a risk on some large-scale undertakings,” noted Sergey Kurginyan, commenting on the US leadership.
Kurginyan describes Trump as a systemic and cautious person who, despite being striking, remains small-minded.
“And that’s why he is systemic, because the system needs small-minded people, it does not tolerate great leaders. And over time, on one hand, he turned out to be an enfant terrible, a trouble maker; and on the other hand, he is somehow embedded in the system. On the one hand, he is bombing Iran; on the other hand, he is not bombing, and he is talking about grandiose achievements. And all the non-conformists, who are a bit bigger than the current generation of modern political midgets, they started to grumble,” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
