Kurginyan reminds how the West had once changed the regime in Iran

The West had already overthrown the authorities in Iran once, political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on June 27 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.

Sergey Kurginyan explained that it is impossible to understand the current situation in Iran without considering the events that took place prior to this moment.

In terms of methodology, one cannot understand anything if one does not track the processes over time,” he explained.

The political scientist emphasized that when we are discussing the issue of whether the West wants a regime change in Iran, and, as an option, the possible return of the Shah or his heir, then we must recall, “Wasn’t he already in power there before?! Yes, he was! Who overthrew him? Why did he disappear?”

The Shah of Iran was overthrown in 1979 by the representative of the so-called Safari Club, and the Safari Club is not a conspiracy theory, it is not a global conspiracy, it is a specific organization that included the heads of intelligence services from Western countries, it really existed, this is documented, including the confessions of these heads of intelligence services,” the analyst explained.

The reason for the regime change was an attempt by the Shah to modernize his country. “One thing – the only thing! – that truly alarms the West is the industrial development of the peripheral countries,” the political scientist explained the reason for the West’s behavior.

The Shah wanted to overcome an agrarian existence of the country, while developing metallurgy and other industries,” explained Sergey Kurginyan. Western powers saw this as a threat to their interests.

Kurginyan also mentioned his personal conversation with one general from the airborne forces, who found himself in the center of events during the Iranian revolution.

He arrived in Iran with the intention of supporting the Shah,” the analyst explained. “The next day they told him that they had received signals from the US and NATO that they wanted Khomeini. <…> And these military quickly gathered their families, loaded all the essentials into their car and left.”

Sergey Kurginyan explained that at the origins of the US consent to the Great Islamic Revolution in Iran “was, of course, Brzezinski. And there was only one goal – to create this green belt.”

“The idea was that if Iran became radically Islamist and refused to modernize and turned into a counter-modernization force, if the same thing happened in Afghanistan and so on, then this southern underbelly would emerge, which could be used to strike Central Asia and then Russia,” the political scientist explained.

The US elites and intelligence agencies themselves organized the change of the Shah regime “as part of the larger concept of the archaization of the global periphery,” Sergey Kurginyan emphasized. “These were all parts of one huge segment, according to which the project Modernity must be cancelled, industrialization in the peripheral countries is unacceptable, a postmodern core and an archaic periphery are necessary – and this constituted the most important task in the plans aimed at reorganizing the world order.

The new Iran misled its creators, “it also began to develop its own industries, because it is not Islam that is so important, but a thousand-year-old great national state that lies at Iran’s foundation – Persia, with a colossal history, culture, with particularly fascinating Shiite Sufism, <…> this is an incredibly powerful and complex system,” the political scientist explained.

He added that building a nuclear research complex was part of this development.
