Russia’s Aerospace Forces (VKS) shot down a Ukrainian aircraft in the zone of Russia’s special military operation, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on July 16.
According to the report, a MiG-29 fighter jet was downed. The summary does not specify whether it was shot down in an air battle with a Russian fighter or by air defense systems.
The report also states that within a 24-hour period, 178 Ukrainian drones and four guided aerial bombs were shot down in the special operation zone.
