Kurginyan: Destabilized Iran is a deadly threat for China

An ultimately destabilized Iran is a great threat not only for Russia but also for China, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on June 27 on the program Conversation with a Sage on radio Zvezda.

“A serious strike on Iran is a deadly threat for the People’s Republic of China. It would dismantle our North – South projects, which mean more than any specific issue. This is a question of a world order,” the analyst said.

The political scientist also indicated that Pakistan’s position has changed, which, in his opinion, completely turned towards the Chinese support and thus abandoned any attempts to balance between the PRC and the USA. At the same time, according to him, India, in spite of the pressure from abroad, is reluctant to get involved in an open confrontation with Beijing.

“The world will determine the policy of India and China. Will the USA manage to completely take these countries apart? And I know that all the Indian politicians, both ultra-conservative and other, do not want a serious conflict with the People’s Republic of China. They just do not want it. They are pushed towards it, but they do not want it. They are made an offer, and they accept the offer, but this is something they refuse to accept,” Sergey Kurginyan said.

He added that the radicalization of Islam and a potential growth of caliphatist sentiments are a serious threat both for China and for India, because both the two states have a large Muslim population.

“Bin Laden, as a very well informed person told me, became an enemy for the USA not when he committed something, which happened later, but when he refused to train Uyghur separatists at his bases in Urumqi and elsewhere,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.

According to the leader of the Essence of Time movement, such details “can make a dramatic shift in global policy.”
