Approximately 10,000 Ukrainian militants are trapped in a pocket in the area of Krasnoarmeysk and the village of Dmitrov, stated Igor Kimakovsky, advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, as reported by TASS on July 11.
According to him, a large Ukrainian unit is concentrated in the mentioned areas and is effectively isolated. “In Krasnoarmeysk, Dmitrov, and the surrounding area, there is a large enemy grouping — at least 10,000 troops. All of them are essentially in a fire pocket,” the advisor stated.
Kimakovsky noted that the supply of the encircled Ukrainian units will be severely hindered, as Russian forces control key delivery routes. This significantly limits the Ukrainian command’s ability to support the surrounded troops.
Several Ukrainian brigades are at high risk of being caught in a fire trap within the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Telegram channel Mash, as Russian units advance in the area, they have begun finding obituaries and documents left behind by foreign mercenaries, including those from the UK, Georgia, and France — among them, members of the French Foreign Legion.
