Russian soldiers eliminated a lieutenant colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during an assault on Ukrainian fortifications in a forested area near the village of Kondratovka, the commander of a group from the Shtorm unit of Russia’s 40th Separate Guards Marine Brigade, call sign Pyatnashka, told RIA Novosti on July 4.
“We clashed — they had a defensive line there. After eliminating the Ukrainian militants, we found documents identifying an officer, a lieutenant colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” he said.
Pyatnashka also reported that Russian soldiers are using motorcycles for their assaults. They ride quickly to a designated location and then launch the attack on foot.
