Iranian company plans full acquisition of Astrakhan Port

Iranian company Nasim Bahr Kish intends to fully acquire PJSC Astrakhan Port, according to a proposal published on the port’s official website on June 27.

The document states that the company plans to purchase 46.34% of common shares and 48.71% of preferred shares. Based on the set price of $482 (37,800 rubles) per share, the total buyout would amount to approximately 5.6 million dollars.

The buyout is backed by a bank guarantee from Mir Business Bank, which was established by Iran’s Bank Melli.

Currently, the Iranian company already holds a 53.66% stake in the port. The second largest shareholder is the Russian state, which transferred its share to the management of Rostec at the end of 2024, as directed by President Vladimir Putin.

Other shareholders include Cyprus-based Volga-Vaster-West (3.33%), Iranian Fanavaran Darya Gostar Jonob Arvand (1.52%), and Tamalaris Consolidated Limited (1.82%).
