US President Donald Trump announced that both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire agreement, expressing his dissatisfaction with both parties, Reuters informed on June 24.
According to the agency, Trump stated that both Iran and Israel violated the ceasefire he announced just a few hours ago. The US leader added that he was unhappy with both countries, especially Israel.
Reuters highlighted that Trump noted Israel launched strikes immediately after agreeing to the truce.
On June 13, Israel launched Operation “Rising Lion,” aiming to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program. Iran responded with retaliatory attacks.
On the night of June 22, the US conducted air and naval strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The next day, Israel declared it had achieved all its objectives in the military operation against Iran.
On the evening of June 23, Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire. According to the plan, Tehran was to halt its strikes first, followed by Tel Aviv 12 hours later. The president urged both sides to honor the agreement.
