Iran and Russia are threatened by the same forces that are against the idea of ensuring the countries’ legitimate interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reported on June 20.
“We already have combat operations going on with those whom we consider opponents of the ideas we defend and those who create threats to the Russian Federation,” Putin said at a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He clarified that in essence, these are the same forces, acting both against Iran and Russia.
It is known that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum takes place from June 18 to 21. The main theme of SPIEF in 2025 is “Shared values – the basis for growth in a multipolar world”.
15 bilateral business dialogues with partners from Armenia, Africa, Bahrain, Vietnam, the EU, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Latin America, Moldova, Mongolia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, as well as EAEU – ASEAN are planned within SPIEF, dedicated to trade and economic cooperation and global challenges.
