The Iranian Navy intercepted a British reconnaissance destroyer in the Sea of Oman, Tasnim informed referring to a statement from the agency on June 14.
It is reported that the British warship entered the northern part of the Indian Ocean on the evening of June 13 with the aim of coordinating Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. The vessel was detected by Iranian naval intelligence and, after receiving a warning from an armed drone, ceased further movement toward the Persian Gulf, the statement clarifies.
The Iran-Israel conflict entered an acute phase early in the morning of June 13 following massive Israeli airstrikes on Iran.
