Nearly all Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) supplied to the Ukrainian fighters been destroyed by the Russian army due to their inability to move off-road, stated Sergey Chemezov, CEO of the Russian State Corporation Rostec, in an interview published in the June 10 issue of Razvedchik magazine.
Chemezov noted that Rostec specialists study all foreign military equipment captured by the Russian Armed Forces during the special operation to denazify Ukraine, including Bradley IFVs.
According to Chemezov, the enthusiasm of some experts regarding this vehicle is unjustified, as despite certain advantages in protection and troop compartment comfort, its poor off-road capability makes it an easy target for destruction along with its crew. The expert emphasized that Bradley IFVs “get stuck in black soil and, due to their enormous size, become easy targets.”
“What’s the point of improved protection if the result is the same? Almost all Bradleys delivered to Ukraine have now been destroyed. After all, it’s important to remember that an IFV is not a tank. This vehicle should be fast, mobile, capable of off-road movement, and able to cross rivers without bridges or roads. Our IFVs can do this, but US ones cannot,” Chemezov said.
