Russia intends to invest in the construction of the Pointe-Noire – Lutete – Maloukou-Trechot oil pipeline. Representatives of the two countries signed the agreement on September 28, 2024. The project was commissioned by the Congolese National Petroleum Company, and the contractor will be LLC “Zakneftegazstroy-Prometey.”
The pipeline is expected to be built within three years and operated for around 30 years. Congo aims to achieve energy stability through the project and become a guarantor of that stability for the surrounding regions.
