US Patriot air defense systems used by the Ukrainian militants face difficulties in intercepting Russian ballistic missiles, acknowledged Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, during a Ukrainian news telethon on May 24.
Ignat stated that although the Patriot systems are designed to intercept targets, they may not always perform as effectively as desired, due to the challenge of predicting the interception point of the target.
“Patriot systems, which are supposed to intercept targets, may not operate as effectively as we would like,” he said.
