Kurginyan: Russia is entering an era of great wars unprepared

14.05.2025, Moscow.

The world is entering an era of great wars, but Russia in its current condition is not prepared to them, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on April 29 on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.

“And now we are entering an era of great wars. Turkey is still out of the game as well as Turkish-Japanese relations, which are very strong. The great Islam and the entire Afghani pot are still out. Look what is happening between Pakistan and India. The game has just begun. And we are not prepared to this super-game,” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan outlined a radical version of potential future. Firstly, he pointed out the coming military convergence of Ukraine and Poland, which will not necessarily mean that Ukraine will be annexed by Poland. According to him, a million-strong, continuously improved and armed Ukrainian army will be built, and there will be the Polish army, that will be strengthened, too. And both these armies will be anti-Russian.

Kurginyan suggested that Romania should be added to this, which dreams about Moldavia and Transdniestria, as well as “all the Eastern European scum, including the Baltic ones.”

“They will probably manage to gather another half a million and, if they try hard, a similar number in the old Europe. This is a huge power. But this power, handled by the UK as well, will immediately attempt what? It will attempt to engage Turkey, a NATO member state, in the game, and we can see how it is happening,” the political scientist said.

Kurginyan explained that the current events in Syria are only the beginning of the processes being initiated, within which the neo-Ottoman project will progress.

“Hopefully, they want to develop it southwards. We do not mind, please do. But what if northwards? What if it is a Turan with some parts of our territory?” the expert noted. He explained that Russia has been modified inside for a conditionally moderated standard.

At the same time, the political scientist stressed that this standard has still proven more heroic than it could have been expected, and that “if it had been really bad the Bandera Nazis would have reached Moscow.” But he stressed that the system itself had moved the Russian army to the periphery, and this is the systems’ fault, not the army’s, which was oriented to peace rather than war.

Sergey Kurginyan noted that today terrorist attacks take place, and the military servicemen and their families are unprotected. According to the political scientist, closed residential areas with underground garages and shelters must be built to secure the military servicemen and their families.

“This is what we need if we a getting prepared to that nightmare. And we are not getting prepared to it. We are lasting a combination of having fun with elements of heroism. We continue to believe that we can ensure a normal life in the sense the Andropov project promised (integration into Europe – Rossa Primavera News Agency),” he said.

“Perhaps, from the pragmatic point of view, everything is going not too bad. But it is going as part of a project and a country that cannot withstand a century of great wars. And the 21st century with be such a century,” Kurginyan stressed.
