Essence of Time member tells MSGTU Penza students about the creation of neo-Nazi orders in Ukraine

24.04.2025, Penza.

Contemporary neo-Nazis dream of reviving Heinrich Himmler’s black SS order, Andrey Bersenyov, co-author of the multiauthored monograph Ukrainism, stated during the III Regional Forum “Consolidation of Russian Society in Countering the Ideology of Terrorism and Extremism, and the Prevention of Interfaith and Interethnic Conflicts,” which took place at Razumovsky Moscow State University of Technologies and Management (MSGTU) in Penza on April 16, a Rossa Primavera News Agency correspondent informed.

During the plenary session, Fyodor Kaufman and Andrey Bersenyyov, co-authors of the monograph Ukrainism, spoke about attempts by Ukrainian nationalists to create intransparent structures similar to fascist order.

The authors pointed to the order traditions of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (organization banned in Russia). New members of the organization were required to recite the so-called Decalogue of the Ukrainian Nationalist and repeat the Prayer of the Ukrainian Nationalist.

In the Decalogue of the Ukrainian Nationalist, one addresses a “the spirit of the ever-being force,” — a variation of a gnostic dark Absolute — while in the prayer, the nationalist turns to the Eternal Ukraine, expressing a desire to dissolve in it and find eternal life within it. The nationalist canon also includes a mystical ritual invoking the leader of the OUN (organization banned in Russia), Yevgeniy Konovalets. This ritual involved the creation of an altar dedicated to Konovalets, on which a mystery of invocation of the leader’s spirit and a pledge to him was performed.

In the Contemporary rituals of the Azov Battalion (organization banned in Russian), the practices of Ukrainian nationalists from the early and mid-20th century are actively used. Additionally, leaders of this terrorist organization claim to be neo-Mithraists. During various rituals, they worship not only pagan gods such as Odin and Wotan, but also Satan.

Moreover, experts assert that human sacrifices are often used in the ritual practices of Azov (organization banned in Russia).

“Ukrainian nationalists long ago merged their fascist order practices with the traditions of occult Hitlerism and global neo-Nazism,” Bersenyov and Kaufman said, referencing a social media confession by one of the Azov members (organization banned in Russia.

The forum was organized by the Coordinating Center for Forming Active Civic Engagement in Youth, Preventing Interethnic and Interfaith Conflicts, Countering the Ideology of Terrorism, and Preventing Extremism at Penza State University. The event was attended by the authorized representative of the Governor of Penza Region, Pavel Maslov.
