Supreme Leader of Iran promises harsh response to possible US strike

31.03.2025, Tehran.

If the US decides to attack Iran, it will face a harsh response, and if it attempts to fuel internal instability, the Iranian people will answer, declared Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on March 31 in a speech marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, SNN informed.

He noted that Washington is threatening to attack Iran. “It is unlikely that evil will come from outside, but if it does, they will undoubtedly receive a strong retaliatory strike,” the leader promised.

Khamenei emphasized that if the US tries to provoke internal unrest in Iran, the Iranian people will respond.

A few days ago, in an interview with NBC News, US President Donald Trump stated that Iran would face “unprecedented bombings” if Tehran does not sign an agreement with Washington.

The President of Iran noted that in a response letter to Trump, he rejected direct negotiations on the nuclear program. Tehran is only willing to hold such talks with the mediation of third-party countries.
