The key aspect of US President Donald Trump and his administration is their connection to Pentecostalism and dispensationalism, political analyst, philosopher, and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan stated on March 7 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
“The White House Faith Office has emerged on this planet,” noted the political analyst. He recalled the Holy Synod that existed in Russia during the imperial era, and now a similar structure has emerged in the USA, led by charismatic preacher Paula White.
According to Kurginyan, Paula White is a very unusual woman who “called on various forces, including the angels from Africa, to come against Trump’s enemies.” He pointed out that White fought for Trump and was subsequently rewarded with a position in his administration.
“This is a completely different culture, one that is difficult for us to fully comprehend,” the philosopher emphasized.
He noted that this culture is rejected not only by traditional religious denominations but even by Baptists, who say, “We will not join this office of faith; it frightens us.” However, Kurginyan is convinced that Trump could not have won the election without this religious movement.
“Neither his show nor big money alone could have secured such a phenomenal result if radical Christian-Zionist groups had not been the driving force behind it,” he explained.
According to Kurginyan, Trump’s support base includes a specific form of Christian Zionism, with dispensationalism as its pinnacle. This movement has its own metaphysical foundation and is an overtly charismatic church.
“It is as if the Holy Spirit descends upon them, and they become overwhelmed. They all believe they are engaged in a literal religious struggle between the forces of darkness and the forces of light. (…) This is not about dignified individuals delivering sermons in a solemn church setting. It is about ecstasy as the foundation of everything – an extremely syncretic ecstasy,” Kurginyan elaborated.
