A powerful explosion occurred at an ammunition depot in the Czech village of Boříny, reported ČTK news agency on March 25.
According to journalists, the incident took place in the morning at the Poličské strojírny facility, part of the STV Group holding. The company is one of the suppliers of ammunition to Ukraine.
One person was seriously injured in the explosion and was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in Olomouc.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and conducted evacuations. Over 10 fire crews and a helicopter were dispatched to contain the aftermath. Emergency services assessed there was no danger to local residents, but authorities closed several nearby roads as a precaution.
