Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election is his grandiose triumph that was unexpected for everyone, said political scientist, philosopher, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on January 30 in an interview with the Belarusian TV channel BelTA.
According to him, Trump is now a hero who won an incredibly difficult, fantastic battle.
Therefore, on the one hand, the US president is in euphoria from this accomplishment, and on the other hand, he is deadly tired, the political scientist noted.
And there is nothing surprising in the fact that during the inauguration Trump was leaning against the podium, the analyst added. “He was running around the country, he himself managed his elections, he was constantly establishing ties between this one and the other, pitting one against the other. He feels like a squeezed lemon,” Kurginyan explained.
However, the loud statements of the newly elected US leader about the deportation of migrants, the purchase of Greenland, the return of the Panama Canal, and so on are not determined by the euphoria he is in, the expert emphasized.
“He also understands what will happen to the migrants, for example. Or what will happen if he occupies Greenland. Or what will happen if he orders a large-scale landing to seize the Panama Canal. Or what will happen if he is serious about dealing with the Chinese, with whom he is so inter-depended, only God knows how much. Or what he should do in Ukraine,” the political scientist clarified.
And most importantly, Trump “understands that within the framework of the existing political system he must put on some kind of a show in regards to any issue,” the analyst added. And Trump is truly “a genius as a showman, he has a fantastic intuition for putting up a show, which he used for his win,” Kurginyan emphasized.
And now comes the question of whether Trump can accomplish something serious, something for real, beyond the show, Sergey Kurginyan noted.
