A group of Israeli military aircraft attempted to cause panic among attendees at the funeral of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut on February 23, Middle East Spectator reported.
“In an attempt to cause panic, Israeli fighter jets flew at very low altitude above the stadium in Beirut,” the message reads.
In response, the crowd began chanting anti-Israeli slogans. The Israeli aircraft group included two F-35 and two F-15 fighter jets.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the deployment of aircraft over Beirut and released photographs taken from one of the planes.
On February 23, Beirut hosted the funeral ceremony for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and his closest associate and successor, Hashem Safieddine. A high-ranking delegation from Iran traveled to the Lebanese capital to attend the event.
Nasrallah was killed on October 27, 2024, in an Israeli airstrike. At the time, Hezbollah decided against holding a large public funeral for security reasons.
